Mauser Obendorff 9.3x62 Stock Standard Original

I am also not sure what you can get for it in SA. I think the value mentioned above is probably a fair value if it were here in the US. However, from what I have seen, it will not be worth that much in SA and it will probably take ~$2000+ US to ship, import, and pay duty on it to get it to the US. Also, you will need an export broker on your side to handle export and shipping.

I have done this before and it is doable but not cheap when all said and done.

That is a great old rifle. I would love to have it as a classic workhorse hunting rifle.

You can contact me in SA. I might be interested, but could steer you in the right direction ito potential buyers and getting a fair value. I own a A type 9,3 myself and they are fine rifles.

Where in SA do you live?

PM me.

You are getting good advice. If that was handed down in my family, no amount of money could break it loose!

I will vouch for Dewald.

I also own an A-Type myself

Does anyone know if it can be exported to the US?
I am speaking to someone who can give me more information on the export process, Yes apparently it can be done even though there is a lot of redtape involved.

I would feel very bad separating that weapon from your family. However, if you determine that you must sell it and there is a process to get it into the US, I may have interest. However, I strongly encourage you to keep this weapon in your family.

Guys your response has been overwhelming and I truly appreciate it. I truly love that weapon and would love to keep it, I unfortunately do not have much opportunity to hunt and the rifle would be locked away in a safe. I have three daughters so the Rifle would eventually go to one of of my son in laws...
I was contacted directly by a collector who already owns forty Mausers and with whom I made a fair deal.
This is a horrible divorce but I know that this rifle will be appreciated and taken good care of in the hands of someone with such a love for it.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
