Looking For Remington 8mm Magnum Rifle With Redfield Scope

Did you lose it?

Yes, I loaned it out to a good friend of mine. He passed away due to cancer, and the family has no recollection of the rifle or him even borrowing it. So now, I want to buy another one, to replace it.

The link above is an 8 Mag in a 700 Classic, there is also a BDL listed at 770.00 right now.
Shouldn’t be to difficult to find a redfield to mount on it although I’ve found the recoil quite violent on both my BDL and Classic and have higher quality optics installed to mitigate failure while in the field.

Ray, welcome to AH! Sorry to hear of your friend and the disappearance of your 8mm Rem Mag.
Best of luck finding what you are looking for!

If you're not married to the 8mm Mag caliber, a 338 would be a much more versatile choice. Much more bullets and ammo available.

I’m kinda married to the 338 but met the 8 mag on Ashley Madison and have a NSA relationship!

A Goomar so to speak. Better looking than your steady woman, but not quite as dependable.
Very dependable but not socially accepted!

Or put another way,, 'built for service, not for speed'.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::rolleyes:o_O

8 mm Rem Mag is nice but I would get a nice Leupold scope, something with nice eye relief.

I know this is an old post but I have a 8 mag for sale. I am about to post it on this site.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
