I guess it depends on how much you want to put into this.
I bought a USRAC reproduction (?) 1895 with the tang safety in 405. It was a good shooter. It didn't fit me very well, but it wasn't the kicker that a lot of people claim it to be. I'd look for one of those. I put a leather covered kick eeze on it and it was a pussy cat. I also put a peep safety on it, but I think a holographic sight would be a better option. I think someone makes an adaptor.
I also had a 1900's gun that I brought back from Afghanistan with me. It was an original 405, originally imported to a fairly famous gunship in India and used on tigers. Or so I would like to believe. I sold it for stupid money 15 years ago. I think I gave 800 for it, and I think I got $8500 for it.
The nicer version would be to take a 1980-1990's Browning 30-40 Krag and rebarrel it as you wouldn't have the tang safety.
If you could find a beat to hell pistol grip original gun and then get Turnbull to rebuild it, that would be pic. Make it fit your dimensions.
Either option will cost more than a USRAC reproduction made in Japan out of way better metal than the originals.

Good luck, I enjoyed them. I can't see irons anymore, but I think a Holographic sight would be awesome.
I wish I still had them, but I live in Europe now and have very little in the way of anything cool anymore.
