I’ll be visiting London this fall for the first time in a number of years. Any must see shooting related stops that I should make? I remember the H&H store used to be there, but I’m sure there are others just as exceptional. A highlight of my last visit was the Wallace Collection, and I intend to visit the museum again, but I don’t want to miss anything special this time.

H&H was sold to Beretta and their Mayfair/Bond Street shop has closed. The new H&H boutique is upstairs at the Beretta store in St. James.

Purdey is in Mayfair and is a must see.

The H&H shooting school is out just north of Heathrow if you are looking for a day trip.

Rigby is on the south side of the river and does tours from what I understand.

The best upland clothing store is Farlows, also in St James. It’s also a fly fishing shop if that’s your thing.

Hope this helps.

Where can a guy find a small independent shop with several or many classic brands and antique hunting accessories for sale. In addition to the top tier manufactures.

In Central London that would be William Evans, maybe the last of the independent gun shops - I’d call it so-so but treasures can be found.

Westley Richard’s flagship store is a train ride away Birmingham - have never been but it looks awesome. Not sure there’s a London location.

Most of my hunts are solo — just me, my rifle, and a good map. Sometimes I tag along with an old buddy for a week in Zimbabwe or South Africa, but more often than not, it’s just me.
Big fan of classic hunting — bolt-action rifles, old-school tracking, and taking the time to really be in the moment.
Just did a podcast, check it out if interested!
