I am not a Dodgers fan but...

As a lifelong Braves fan, I detest the Dodgers, I loathe them. Many people forget or don't realize that Dodgers and Giants are the Braves traditional rivals as we were in the West.

That being said, I still have vivid memories of the 92 WS, Jack Morris and friggin Ed Sprague!

At the end of the day, I guess I gave to pull for an American franchise from the NL.
It really, really pains me though!

I was a Braves fan...when they were in Milwaukee!

Glavins son went to Auburn, Tom used to show up for a game every now and again.
Way back when I played Myrtle Beach was an affiliate of the Blue Jays.

It recently went from Braves to Rangers now Cubs, been a Cubs franchise for a few years now.

The Braves and Cubs fan bases are pretty widespread because of TBS and WGN.
I watched them both growing up.

Lol, I remember the Bozo show would come on then the Cubs. As a young kid I thought, no wonder the Cubs always lose, those Chicago kids were horrible at getting the ball into those buckets on Bozo's grand prize game. I never saw a kid sink one in the last bucket and win that bike. Just the first bucket and a shitload of string cheese!

And then there are my Boston Red Sox still playing in Fenway Park, probably one of the last remaining old time parks. They are my AL guys and the Dodgers are my NL team.

It's down to two games at Rogers Stadium. Yeah, it only holds 44K but I'll take domed stadiums every day ... in every weather. And it always draws a crowd. Just like the Make-Beliefs, Toronto supports their teams no matter what. And rarely an "ugly crowd".

Trey Yesavage was incredible. Eleven strikeouts (or was it twelve?). Only 22 years old. A team of mostly second rate traded veterans and unknowns up from the minors. Who would have predicted in April they'd be one game away from winning a World Series in October?

This has been a great series. And whoever wins deserves it. Both teams have been fun to watch.

Kevin Pilar seems to be working out well in his first season as a Canadian commentator. Most of the gals the Blue Jays use are not great. Especially that tall blonde. To me she has a voice like an air raid siren. Buck Martinez's voice took some getting used to but he is good. Knows his stuff. His partner (name escapes me) is also a former catcher and equal quality to Buck in my opinion.

I am looking forward to digitized strike zone next year. Challenges may slow the game a little but if they reduce the acrimony that will help. Also, should help umpires get back on target. Seemed to work well this year on trial at some spring camps. Putting pitchers and batters on timer really made the game much more enjoyable to watch. Also only two step offs and only one timeout per at bat for both pitcher and batter. All that stuff could have improved the game fifty years ago. Shame it took so long.

I also like the timing rules, except not sure about the batter has to “engage” the pitcher with 8 seconds left on the pitch clock. If he’s not ready by the time the clock runs out tough crap for him.
If I was catching now I would have my pitcher hold until 1 second left on the clock to allow the hitter to tense up those last 7 seconds.
