Hunting the Mountain Reedbuck...

As a first time hunter in SA I didn't really know anything about them- or the Common Reedbuck or Limpopo bushbuck. When I become a second time hunter those three are likely going to be my top three. I only hope for a chance at one in the same league as these!

Very nice mtn. Reedbuck, I saw quite a few while I was hunting vallies last August. They are on my hit list along with klipsringer on my next trip to SA. Their face is quite similar to a vallie. Anyone agree?

Gus, you made it into Rowland. Very nice trophy. Congratulations.

This is the one I hunted last week, no idea about measurements

Wonderful @Nyati, Well done!

Regardless of length, they look great though, they are a great animal to hunt and eat. I hope you got some chance to taste it. If not, you can always come back and taste it next time.

Wow. As my Zim friends say, that’s a snorter!

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,
