Huge Buffalo video from Uganda

He is an incredible bull but to young to shoot let him pass on his genetics until he is past breed age.

Now the scrum caps and the really worn down bulls are right at the top of my hunting preference.
That is not a young bull. Watch the video again and you’ll see the large dewlap under his chin that the younger bulls don’t have. That would signal around 12+ years old. I think too many associate worn horns with age when it isn’t always the case.

I was looking at the face and there is no hair loss and none loss on the body. Dewlap is good but I still put his age in the 10 year bracket. I could be wrong.

Still he isn't in the list of bulls I would shoot. given there are a number of 14-15 year old bulls in Uganda. I will find one in 2027.

Good luck on your hunt, but I think you are underestimating that bull’s age. Hair loss and horn wear are dependent on the environment and the particular buffalo. Some young bulls look old because they’ve lost hair and broke their horns. The dewlap only occurs with age.

Hope the big ones really get to breed.

Me too, I was watching buzz charlton giving a interview and he was talking about some of his regrets from his early years and it was how many marginal aged bulls were killed
Just because someone wanted a 45 inch bull , “ I was looking at some old photos, and was thinking wow what were we doing shooting them , they look like cows after being skinned “
Uganda is my bucket list of buffalo hunts ( I just don’t think I can ever afford that though)
I don’t know what to expect for bulls in Mozambique but I told my PH Dave Langerman
When he asked about what I was looking for in a buff ( “ I don’t care about size just old “ )
Everyone is a buzz with anticipation and curiosity about it after hearing the reports from this year.

Look into the WTA group hunt if you’re interested in hunting Uganda at reasonable pricing. They are hunting through Uganda Wildlife safaris. It’s a very good discount over the standard hunt if you’re willing to hunt 2x1 with a group. They advertised 2025 for 7 days with buffalo for $19750 then 2nd buffalo additional $5500.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
