Dan,

You need to be a little careful about asking a Texan if another place in Texas is near him, as a narrative on the size of Texas may be required.

It's a relative thing. When I used to drive to California, when we got back to El Paso, we would say we were half way home.

I moved to Texas almost two years ago and get corrected on how I refer to locale. Best I can figure if they made a map of this state it would look like the Balkans. I live east of Baytown, Tx and have been instructed several times that is most definitely South East Texas! Lol
Welcome to AH Philip, enjoy all the knowledge these folks give out for free, best deal around!
Cheers,
Cody

Bullthrower338, Baytown is definitely South Texas. The place where I grew up is Way South Texas. It's about 240 miles or so farther south, a little town called Alice. If you haven't been that far south, you should go see it as the countryside looks way different. Lots of farm land, mesquite brush, and cactus. God's Country. When I first moved to East Texas I felt almost claustrophobic because of all the pine trees, lol

"Blame it on Texas... Don't blame it on me.." (the Mark Chesnutt Fans from Texas will get that...)

Definitely been to Alice, knew a beautiful girl there, her Daddy had a ranch in Freer. I hunted in Falfurias (might have spelled it wrong) a couple weeks ago. Very cool country!

When we were growing up, we had cousins in Freer. Also had some friends there during and after high school. What was the girl's name?

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
