experience with the swift 150 gn 7mm scirocco bullet?
what would be its optimum use - game and striking velocity?
will it open fast on smaller game yet hold together on bigger game?
how can it be compared terminally with the swift aframe.
pleas no theories or promotional quotes, just experience.
I am looking at 2 guns, one with a mv of 2900 and the other 3300.
uses would be for medium to bigger deer sized game.
what else might be in the same class?
bruce.

Also interested in actual experience - would like to try it in my soon to arrive 7x64.

I haven’t used the 150 .284 bullet but have used the 210 .338 quite a bit at velocities in the 3000 FPS range. First experience was with the original Scirocco and it failed miserably! Bullet came apart and resulted in a lost oryx. At the urging of Swift, I tried the S II and it performs well. Especially good on muledeer sized game, I have only recovered two bullets and both were expanded perfectly textbook with around 85% weight retention. I have shot one coues deer with a 30 cal S II and it passed through without violent destruction on the far side. Inside the deer was pure gel. I wouldn’t hesitate to hunt up to elk sized game with them at all.
Just off of the limited number I have recovered they appear to lose about 10% if not a little more than the A-Frame typically does.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
