Gun cleaning while in Africa?

I also do not touch the bore after sighting in at the camp as my rifle will throw the first shot about 1 to 2" outside the group after the bore is oiled. If concerned with moisture/dust in the bore some tape over the bore does not affect accuracy. If the rifle is exposed to rain, I clean it and fire a fouling shot. I wipe the exterior with a patch and Rem oil everyday and keep the patch in a zip lock bag. I oil the bore before leaving camp on the last day and thoroughly clean the rifle when I get home.

For equipment the Otis system works well and I have found a solid rod can be slid down between the packing and thin end of my Tuffpak. As I do not pull the packing out of the Tuffpak {Cheap soft rifle case(s) wrapped in bubble pack allows the rifle(s) to be easily removed as you travel for TSA, customs, etc. with a folded jacket at the open end.} I put a patch loop in the one piece rod and a string to the open end of the Tuffpak so I can pull the cleaning rod out easily.

Over the years I find myself worrying about a clean bore less and less and more about a rusting exterior.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
