Gun checkering services

Good morning. I have been lurking on this forum for the past couple of years and have found so much useful information. Currently, I am in need of gun checkering services and have done as much research on the internet as I can, but would love to hear from someone with first hand experience. Do any of you have any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

You might try the website for the American Custom Gunmakers Guild (ACGG) if you are in the US. They list several professional checkering specialists among their members; you may even find one in your area.

For very good checkering of hand gun stocks I can personally recommend Herrett's Stocks in Twin Falls, Idaho.

You could always learn to do it yourself. That's what I did. It isn't terribly difficult and after a little practice you can turn out some pretty good checkered stocks! I have done a number of my own over the years and it really is rewarding to use a gun you stocked and checkered yourself!
