Got a package today from south Africa

and was I ever happy, finally my mounts arrived, I haven't finished unpacking them yet but what I've seen is satisfying enough. when I get them all on the wall I will try and post some better pics.
My cost was for 5 shoulder mounts and 4 euro mounts.
TAXIDERMY WAS approx. 2100$ Red Dune IN free STATE SA.
shipping to JO BERG and Seattle via badger cargo was approx 4000$ ouch! they used Turkish air.
VANTAGE in Seattle took care of the receiving inspections and storage ,( they have their own ware house} 1000$. shipping to my address add 1000$
so approx 8000$ total. will try and find all invoices and post addendum later.

Agree, plus the shipping to the taxidermist in the US after , dip&pack, clearance and up to a 2 year wait and shipping back to your home unless you have a good local taxidermist.

They look good, can’t wait to see them on the wall!

Skulls make the most sense to me now. When I get a capercaillie I will do another big life-size. Everything else that has antlers will be skulls.

The trade off of taxidermy versus more hunting is not something I am going to compromise on.
