I thought people might enjoy how I handle all my DR purchases in my latest a 1906 London made Rigby 450 NE.
First, I always try to find estate sales which can be found on GI as an example
Second I call the seller to find out they are selling for the estate
Third, while I am no expert I have owned 8 with heavy research so I want to find out how knowledgeable the seller is.
Fourth in this case I wanted to insure the Rigby London manufacturer so I paid the $70 to reach out to Rigby to get the certificate of manufacturer.
Fifth, JJ Perideau is a great resource to ask his opinion.
Sixth after all the above I presented my offer outline the potential work to be done on the gun based on my experience, research and JJ.
I got a substantial reduction in price based on this.
Last, upon receipt of the gun I sent it to JJ Perodeau to do whatever is needed to make it perfect mechanically up to his high standards. I also had $225 worth of work on my Rigby 275 HS.
Attached is my invoice just to give you some idea on the kind of repair work done by JJ…will get the gun back next week…can’t wait to shoot it!!

Just FYI, there are numerous free sites that will convert pdf files to jpg which can be inserted as attachment and edited as graphic image. Best if you erase all your personal information from jpg.

You have the wrong person. I have no idea what you are talking about..

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
