Are all modern gas-operated semi autos built with an alloy receiver? I like the modern design of Fabarm and Beretta semis, particularly the recoil spring forward of the action. but I miss the feel of a steel-receiver. My Fabarm L4s is a fine gun but I'd like it even better with some weight between the hands.
Is anyone making a modern, steel frame semi?

This is about the best I can do and keep it a quality item.
1951 Browning A5 12 bore

I had a 1953 A5 16 bore and the long recoil action beat me up. I didn't like the recoil impulse and sold the gun after only shooting a few boxes through it. Been shooting a Benelli SBE for several years and much prefer it for the weight savings alone. Been my go to for turkey and waterfowl since I got it.

if you shop around a remington 1100 or 1187 should not be to hard to find, as they were made many years. parts will be available for years to come. at public auction this year i saw two go for under 700.00 usd in very good condition.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
