I bought this rifle about 8 years ago with the intension of pulling apart for a project. I couldn’t bring myself to do that since it was so nice. I never fired this rifle so I can’t attest to accuracy. It’s been opened up to Ackley Improved and the stock was refinished. LOP is 13.75”, 13.3”, 13.75” (heel, center, toe) to a rubber butt pad. Original rear sight and front hood also. Outstanding overall condition. $1350 shipped.

Beautiful rifle with some excellent wood on it, and I would say is a nicer finish than the original glossy ones. GLWS!

I have an original Browning Hartmann case in lovely condition that is quite rare (rarer than the rifles) which I have listed for $500-$600 on this forum. It was offered as an option for these vintage Browning rifles but the case's original MSRP was so high, very few full length rifle cases were made.

For the buyer of this rifle from @SkullKeeper solely, I'll offer the matching case for $450 shipped, delivered, to boost his sale.

Thank you @rookhawk - a fantastic addition and offer

Thank you for not cannibalizing this rifle. It's a hell of a fine piece of shooting iron for reasonable money. I hate these to become chopped up customs when they were near perfect when new. (other than the pimp finish which you fixed)

Is there any ammo or brass that goes with it?

You make the brass by just shooting standard ammo through it since its reverse compatible with the standard cartridge. Presto bango, no special die required and you have AI brass ready for custom loads thereafter.

No, I don’t have any head stamped brass (which you would not legally need anyway if traveling since it’s still 30/06) or ammo(I never even fired this rifle).

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
