for shooting Oryx ---- is .270 WSM ok ?

............ I'm taking a 270 WIN because that is what I have to work with, but I'm also reloading. Since this topic revolves around the 270 I was hoping that some might have a suggestion on a particular bullet. ...........

See which shoots best out of your rifle.
Post #6 above used 130 grain TTSX.

..aah, but honorable happy-chappy poster #6 was using his 270 WSM not a 270 WIN.. :heh:

Details, details. "IN" -- "SM"
They are all the same diameter, aren't they? :)

Same Bullet.
Powder and brass were different.

I'll post a picture later this year of one taken with an "IN".

The Barnes TSX and TTSX bullets like speed in my experience.
Try both the 150 grain TSX and the 130 grain TTSX and choose the bullet that shoots the best in your gun.

If they are equal, then personally I would use the 130 TTSX bullet in a 270 win.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
