Well, I happened across this rifle recently and was starting to plan a 2022 hunt. My plan was to sell my M70 Super Express and keep this. Unfortunately, life says its not quite meant to be for the rifle and most likely the hunt, depending on how the rest of the year goes. I don't "have" to sell it, I'd just rather have a little more liquidity in the next 6 months. Now to the rifle.

Rifle was built in 2001. Unfired I'm told by the original owner and now unfired by me. The bolt face look to back this up but I can't verify 100% so we'll say extremely low round count. Overall the rifle is in 98-99% condition, it did manage to pick up some dings over the last 20 years. You can see most of them in the photos. I'm happy to send pictures of anything I can find to serious parties but everything is minor.

Gun specs:

Dakota Model 76 Safari
Magnum Action
Control Round Feed / 3 position side safety / Claw extractor
375HH
XXX English Walnut
Ebony Forend Tip
Front pop-up night sight
Dakota Mounts
Talley 1in Low rings(will need to call Talley for a replacement screw)
Full wrap around forend checkering
Barrel band swivel and Ken Howell inletted stock swivel
22 LPI checkering
Stainless steel barrel
Z-Plate finish

I have the original receipt but no other paperwork. Would like 6000.00 shipped Fedex 2 Day.
While cash is prudent for me, I will listen to partial trades on Winchester M70 rifles,Sako rifles, Marlin lever actions, HK, Sig Sauer pistols, quality optics as I can easily move these items for cash.

Great deal, hope someone buys this thing!

PM me I've been busy...

I want to know how you guys can pay so much for a rifle, and not be afraid to take it out of the safe lol Dang that thing is gorgeous!

Insurance, mainly. :)

I think it all depends on your perspective. While this certainly one of the most expensive rifles I've bought, for some its probably the cheapest part of the hunting experience and simply a fine tool to be used. I lean more on the take it out of the safe, swing it around, put it back. I'd certainly hunt with it and that was the plan but things have changed slightly.

It is one of the prettiest rifles I have ever seen. I sold guns for years, and did trades at my pals shop, and I never seen anything close. The closest thing was an ER Shaw built .458 Lott. It had a spiral fluted barrel and bolt, and a gorgeous stock.

Please don't take my reply as a "dis". My question was genuine, and if I could find someone to buy a kidney, I'd damn sure buy it. I also realize, compared to fine Double Rifles, it's a piss in the ocean as far as price.

I'd keep it man, dang she's fine!

I didnt take any offense to your question, im with you on this one.

Thankfully I'm not in a must sell position and certainly wont mind if I have to keep looking at it.
