Appologies for the grainy photo as it was last light.
Two fantastic "Dagga Boys" my son and I came across late on day one hunting with Rouan @TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS. The decision was made not to pursue them due to the fading light.
Little did we know we would have many encounters and blown stalks on these same bulls over the following days.
With a lot of persistence and a bit of lady luck we managed to have both these magnificent bulls in the salt by day 6.
I was also lucky enough to take a beautiful Sable as well as experience hunting for hippo. We didn't connect with a suitable bull,so that gave me the excuse to book another hunt with them in 2027 in their Mozambique concession.
All in all we had a fantastic hunt and exceeded all expectations in every way.
Highly recommended.

Congrats on your hunt and success. Those look like great trophies. It sounds like quite a challenge you have had in getting these 2 animals in the salt.

I've taken my son buffalo hunting in Africa and Australia in the last 2 years, he shot a total of more than 10-buffalo, what a joy it is to watch your son put everything you taught him into practice and to see him shoot with confidence and accuracy in taking these magnificent animals. It's a real bond hunting with your son.

We hunted with Rouan but met Brandon as he picked us up from the airport and took us to camp. Brandon was heading to Mozambique after he dropped us off at camp.
Yes, looking forward to the Moz experience,it sounds awesome by all accounts.

I hunted with Brandon on the BonaBona property, it's a great place that the wife and truly enjoyed. Brandon is a great PH and I will be hunting with him again in 2026.
Here's a picture of the Buffalo I took on the BonaBona property.

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
