I am having trouble connecting the headline of this thread with the document posted.

The headline seems to imply that the ANC is trying to engage in ethnic cleansing.

The document posted is critical of the choice of a group of South Africans to accept refugee status in the United States and leave their country forever.

Now, if the ANC wanted to engage in ethnic cleansing why would they be critical of people leaving the country? If their goal is getting rid of these folks, why are they not happy that the American policy is doing it for them?

It is from the article. Also that is exactly what they mean. But they still have some sense to not put that in writing.

Hopefully a new government with new partners will right this wrongdoing.

It isnt about them leaving, they want justice for perceived inequalities.

The ironic part is the black population of Southern Africa themselves immigrated from way north around from around the 9th century C.E. The Bantu people originated from the area around Nigeria etc. So they themselves are not native. That are the bushmen IIRC.

Is South Africa safe? Like any place in the world, it depends on where you, the time of day (or night), how you're dressed, how you act, etc. There are many places in the US which are more dangerous than many places in South Africa.

I've been to virtually every province of South Africa, mostly in rural areas, but a few cities and towns as well. I have a number of friends there as well. I have never felt particularly unsafe, and they've told me they don't feel particularly unsafe. This doesn't mean that there aren't people who would target farmers in rural areas, but I don't think the facts bear out that white farmers live in fear of their lives.

Now, if I was a farmer in South Africa and the US offered permanent residency to me and my family, help with resettlement, etc., would I take it up? Probably, but for economic reasons, not for reasons of safety.

It would be interesting to know the economic demographics of the people who just arrived in the U.S.. Did they leave behind multi-generational farms and good jobs, or were they economically marginalized themselves?

I have had people reaching out ask " what's going on?!!"
This has BEEN happening for the best part of 20 years. Everybody just turned a blind eye to it. Now finally the US government is taking a look at it, maybe because of Elon( ex SA) , who knows. Point is this is NOT something that came about in the last few months. Im just grateful somebody has the balls to call them out , they dance to the will of China communists, China owens SA, there lies the problem , and white folks are in they way , they ask to many questions. Yet the cry when they leave in droves, the tax payers are leaving!! Go figure. Problem is 80mil people in country and under 10% pay taxes. Well that 10% had enough

Because when foreign governments admit these people into their country as refugees who are escaping genocide, it's no longer possible for the ANC to hide that it's happening.

Pretty difficult to commit genocide while everyone is watching.
