Delisting Grizzly

Thought I would share some good news out of Wyoming. It's still early but looking good.

Interior Secretary Salazar tells Wyoming governor he expects grizzly delisting by 2014

I hope it happens. Who knows what the kooks will dream up in th mean time.

I'll start applying for a license every year its offered. 8 or 10 years ago one the elk hunters I was in camp with was mauled by a sow. Luckily had cell reception and had him life flighted out. Later the same day I was charged by the same bear, but was on a horse and was able to get away.... I'd like to put a bullet in one.... Bruce

They need some sort of hunting of them bears around Yellowstone just to keep them honest.

They are just like Cougars, if you quit hunting them they start hunting you! I never has any problems with Griz until a few years after they shut down Griz hunting in AB. Now its getting worse all the time.

There was always someone running into one while out hunting here. I have had to keep a couple of them honest by illustrating what high speed copper does on the rocks in front of them. It brings them back to reality very quickly.
The last one I did this with sat and pondered what he would do and he finally decided to recall that long past memory and turn around and head back up the mountain. I was quite happy with that result.
