Hi everybody:
I recently acquired a CZ550 magnum 375HH, and found a metal block was used/buried in the front side of the wood stock, part number 107, CZ manual called it "stay". What's the function of this metal block? I have a
Sako 375 and didn't have this part. Thanks

Just taking a guess, but from the looks of it, I think it is the piece that interfaces with the recoil lug.

That’s my take on it. I have one , . I figure the engineers and designers had reason to have this . Likely reinforcement or spreading the load of the recoil on a Larger area of the stock.

Do you by chance have a similar exploded view of the zastava mod 70 ? I wonder how the two rifles compare?
I have an Interarms Whitworth (Zastava) in .375 and one in .416 Taylor. You will be able to shoot your Zastava until you cry “uncle” with no issues whatsoever! I also have two CZ 550s. I intend to shoot ALL of them until I cry uncle when I’m too old to shoot them! Shoot and be happy!

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
