Culling Belt vs Ammo Pouch for 9.3x74R

@pc3 Roger who is a member here @yumastepside does some very nice letherwork.
I would also like to endorse the leather work done by Yumastepside. My Christmas present was an ammo pouch. There is alot of thought that goes into his pouches, including drainage holes! The workmanship and materials are absolutely first class. These are products that will last a lifetime.

@pc3 Roger who is a member here @yumastepside does some very nice letherwork. He's based down in Tassie so no hassles with international shipping etc. Send him a pm and discuss with him what you need. He made a really nice closed pouch for me but he also does open pouches and I'm sure he can make whatever you want.

did a post about my pouch a while ago
What are those 2 grooves on the backside of the flap and how were they made? Are they for folding the flap back behind the belt out of the way?
Round corners without wrinkling, mind blowing.

Sorry, do not understand the question!
Can you take a "snip" of the image you are commenting about?

What flap, it appears to be an open pouch to me. Looks very nice and practical.

Hunter475201, in post # 11 said, here's a post I did a while back, and below were three images you could click on--that particular pouch, has a flap front with a brass stud the hole in the leather flap slips over to secure. One of the images shows the inside surface of the flap and it has three longitudinal groves made into the leather near to where it sort of hinges to close.
Are those images the ones you described as an open pouch--I don't think so.
I simply asked it they were to make it hinge over better, AND if it was meant to hinge backward so as to tuck it behind the belt out of the way so that it would not cover the cartridges when imminently needed.

Ok, sorry I did not open the attached post. I think this is the image you are asking about.

Yes the 2 horizontal groves are hinge points. I think they are made with a V chisel run along a straight edge to cut half material thickness. I think you are correct that the flap can be folded back and tucked between the belt keepers and panel out of the way to help with cartridge access when it gets exciting.

The two grooves above the cartridges in the above pic are to thin the leather slightly at that point to help the leather bend and to help stop the leather cracking on the other side from continual opening and closing

Good idea, and I haven't seen it on any other offerings.

I was wrong, it is even more simple than I thought. I found another photo that explains it.

You just unclip the cover, move it back and slide it down behind the cartridge carrier.

That brass stud looks exactly like the one on my Holland & Holland made cartridge wallet.

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?
