Changing caliber CZ 500

i was wondering if the CZ 550 had any difference in magazines for their different calibers? Or any differences in action?

Reason I am asking, I can't seem to find any in 6,5x55 where I live.. When they show up for sale, they are usually 30-06.


Been so long since I have seen the other calibers, I am considering just getting a 30-06 and rebarrel it..

A bit worried if it will feed the new cartridge as well as previous? Or, is there a different mag box or action dimension for different calibers?

They had magnum length action, and medium length action.
so for 6.5x55 and 30-06 you will be ok, on medium action. (I mean, your gunsmith)

cz550 also had models with fixed magazine and removable magazines. (just saying)

Magnum - In the name
Standard - 6,5x55 - 30-06 - 9,3x62 + a few others
Short - 308, 243 etc and magazine.


Just wondering if the Standard action uses different magazine box, mag follower, machined differently for the different calibers it was offered with.
