I hate to see a empty space so if ever in need of any capes, life skins, etc. for North American, Africa, etc... just visit the web site and call or email me. Thanks :)

Hi Don,

Have you any suppliers of hides from South Africa.I can access lots of different horns and hides.I can also access full mount hides of Caracal and Jackal with skulls.I have a friend in my home town who is a busy taxidermist and we can get the export documentation and crating and all that side covered.Let me know if you are interested.I have been thinking along these lines for a while now.

My brother has a game meat processing business and I often have to cull large numbers of game for him.The quality of the flat hides for tanning purposes is generally very high as most shots are head shots. We sit with heaps of horns that can be of value for making artifacts etc.

Dan ( Schembridan ),

I will let you know about the Serval and Civet as soon as I have something solid for you.We dont have Civet in the East Cape, and we can't legally hunt Serval here in the East Cape either, they are found in only very small areas here and are actually on the decline generally in the East Cape in their former ranges which is a great pitty.

Their hides have always been part of traditional dress for the Xhosa people and the Zulu nation. They are vulnerable to uncontrolled hunting, this and advancing farming and increased pressure by human encroachment on their habitat have led to the decline. They can be legally hunted for trophy purposes in Natal ( Zululand ), so I will try and get you a fullskin from a contact there.

I'll do homework on African wildcat, the two genet species as well for you.We can't get permits for exportation in the East Cape for either of these two.I will be having a meeting with a senior conservation official to discuss the status of these smaller cats and the reasons why we can't obtain permits in the East Cape for them.I will keep readers posted on this topic.

Regards - Roy Sparks.

Greetings.
I have a hide from either a Blesbok or Springbok that has been certified and tanned and treated to international veterinary standards and a wall mounted copper kudu on an antelope skin in a frame. would it be of interest to anyone?

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
