Hello!
Since i was very littele i had a passion for buffalos most african Syncerus caffer.
I have been on P. G hunt tree times.
Aru 12/ Kataneno 16/Osonjiva.18.
It was excellent at Aru. The others...........
Now its time the next step up.
However.
I saw this buffalo hunt on youtube.

I know hunting is not black and white.
And not a standard.
But i wanted to see good hunting and respect to the game.
Instead piss poor shooting was what saw.
Best regards

Respect towards the wild game that we hunt is absolutely mandatory.

Back when I was young and irresponsible, I took this photograph after a Cape buffalo hunt in Zimbabwe.

When I came back home and showed this photograph to my parents, my mother gave me a very serious scolding. I will always remember what she said:

”Why‘s your foot on the animal’s skull ? Wild game are our commodies and must be treated with the highest degree of respect, even after we hunt them. They’re not some sort of adversary who we conquer through gladiatorial combat and make a mockery out of”.

I never took another photograph with my foot on top of any of my hunted game ever again.

Unfortunately, most of the people who turn out these hunting videos these days do some very tasteless things on camera... all in the name of bravado.

Did you watch the video or just make an assumption? There is some poor shooting on the buffalo, but nothing disrespectful at any point in the video that I can see. It’s actually a very well done video.

I did. There is very poor shooting in the video.

But the original poster was talking about respect to the wild game and so I commented on that, as well.

There is some bad shooting on the two buffalo, but the rest of the video is actually very good shooting. It appears he’s using rental rifles, very few can shoot a rental rifle as well as their own. It also appears buffalo was a long shot in the plains. He’s very lucky he recovered the second buffalo as easily as it appears he did. To me it’s a well done video that shows some unique areas. They could have opted to edit the missed shots but didn’t. Most would have edited the video to make the shots appear different.

These threads tend to go off course rapidly. I don’t think this video deserves criticism. I wouldn’t hear nearly the stories I do from PHs if everyone could shoot the way they claim.

No, you're right. The crocodile, hippopotamus & plains game hunting parts were all excellent.

Wake up guys! Isn't this just the same pot stirring inarticulate "new member" who posted the nonsense hate mail thread maligning a safari operator? Writing style is a dead giveaway.

Looks like he’s been a member since 2017 and simply doesn’t post frequently. Not every member’s first language is English.

Yes my First language is Danish.
And im sorry for the bad spelling and not perfekt english
And have nothing to do with Any hate mail.
Best regards

I stopped watching when the hunter swings his muzzle towards the PH’ face and he is forced to duck backwards. Worse than poor shooting is poor muzzle discipline

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
