Bertram USA, Scam or Ligit?

I honestly feel they have pulled stakes and moved on.

I'd go ahead and file a fraud claim.

I know this thread is old. What are the opinions of those reading? Exactly one month with no communication from BB USA other than an auto-receipt for the charge to my card. No response to 2 emails asking for an update. Do I wait longer? Or file a fraud report? Ultimately, I want the brass, but it i have no desire to get screwed out of the several hundred dollars that was charged to my card.

Here is what I have for contact information from Bertram Brass USA. I would try calling VA Silent arsenal as that is the other company he is affiliated with that manufactures wildcat cartridges and rifles.

I tried ordering some from them back in February, and I never received anything. I waited about 45 days before I filed a claim with my CC company to get a refund.

FWIW, I have ordered Bertram Brass from Northern Shooters Supply in Australia - He is a short way from the Bertram factory and drove there and picked up my brass for me and then he handled importing it into the USA and it was delivered to my door. I called him directly.

I would not say it was cheap, but I could find it nowhere else at the time

@Ku-winda I ordered some brass from BBUSA a month ago today. Other than the charge to my card and an auto-emailed receipt, I've had no correspondence from them, nor have I received my brass. I've emailed the address that is provided on their website twice asking for an update with no reply. I don't mind waiting if necessary, but I'm beginning to wonder if they will follow through. I would appreciate it if you could send me the email addresses that you mentioned so I can try to get a reply before I pursue a fraud claim through my credit card. Thx - Jake

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on 6/16, received confirmation and my cc was charged. Nothing since then. I've emailed and called without any info. Just emailed again and shared I was disputing charge this week if I don't see shipment info. I feel bad they had to shut their business down. I have no problems with Buffalo Arms but they can never say when they are getting inventory. Really would be nice to have a more professional player in the USA market for Bertram brass. Chris

I ordered some fired brass from Desert Tech Friday 18 Jul. Today, Monday 21 July they processed my payment (I guess they're closed weekends). Also on Monday 21 July I got an email advising my brass had shipped. I will advise if/when it shows up.

I had a question about their 585 Nyati brass. Customer service emailed me a response in good time explaining why their brass was straight walled without a shoulder. " there is no standard drawing...every gun builder has his own idea of what the headspace is.... so it was better to let them do it themselves and get it right" was their answer.

Brass arrived today. 4 days in transit. Headstamp didn't matter to me. There were several options to choose from. I ordered mixed. They are all Desert Munitions headstamp.

According to my experience so far I would say they are legit.

I heard back from Bertram USA today (7/30) and they provided tracking info, so hopefully will soon have my order from June 16 in hand.

Eric from Desert Tech had reached out and seems a good guy to business with. I look forward to buying from Desert Tech in the future when I need Bertram brass.

Desert Tech does not have 300 Super Flanged in stock, but Beaks and Brass does.

Beaks and Brass does not take bit coin or zelle. They do take credit cards.
Some positive chatter about them when searched. They have a phone number so you can call them
They are listed on Bertram's website as the Canadian distributor
They are in Canada - I don't know how that affects shipping into the USA now.

Never without risk. Make a small order and see if you are desperate for the brass
