Good Evening,

I had a close relative pass recently and I was gifted these two rifles. If I didn't already have safari rifles I would hold onto them but alas Im ready to sell. That I know they are a pair set (458 Win Mag, 375 H&H) with consecutive serial numbers (HGC 1 / HGC2). They are build off a mauser action and have original but reconditioned stocks. I was hoping someone could help me identify who the possible builder is and/or how much they may be worth. While I was having the stocks finished I had the gentleman go through the action/rifle to find a builder mark but to no avail. I can provide more pictures if it would help. I truly appreciate any assistance with this.

Are HGC your relatives initials? Did you take the custom bases off to see if they are marked underneath?

No on both accounts. I'm assuming the HGC is either the initials of the gun smith or who they were built for

Can you take pics of the bottom metal? The release mechanism looks interesting/unique. Maybe one open and closed?

There a few neat things on these - the sighting trough through the custom mounts and the bullet clearance cut in the front ring of the 375.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
