What is a good substitute for IMR 8133? Not so much load data but easier to find powder? I know now is a tough time but I have to talk about something other than Virus Virus Virus!!!

Quick Internet search says it is similar to Hodgdon Retumbo. I have no personal experience with either. H50BMG was also mentioned.

I must have an old "alternative" powder chart since IMR 8133 isn't listed. Just like me...outdated! Like Shootist mentioned Retumbo is right below it to it as well as VV N570 right above it:

Here is the Hodgon burn rate chart just to clarify: (2 below & 2 above)

Ramshot Magnum
Retumbo
IMR 8133
VV N570
RL 33

Hope this helps cmnhunt!

What are you loading for?
Cheers mate Bob.
Hey,
Thanks a bunch guys for your info! I had a long range rifle put together with cartridge workup and the caliber is 300 win mag with IMR 8133. What I am seeing is this is fairly new powder. I am an extreme novice to reloading so want to research and try out some possible older powders to get similar stats as what I have now. I have been looking since end of December and wrote the company and they were backlogged then. I still have about 80 rounds made up for this so I am ok for now.
Thanks,
C

Phillip I was reviewing some of the auctions online and saw your Nubian Ibex hunt coming up this weekend. It also showed you have Addax and Axis deer. Is there a website I can go to and see the lodge, cost of animals and what is available? Thanks Mark

Appreciate your Limcroma/Franco comments. Will be seeing him in April....again. great person as well as his family (he has a new born son). I will always recommend him who makes a hunt special and exciting. Marc

I really like that knife you're selling. It looks so similar to my original 1306 that has been around a long time. I can't spend that much but if you get to a point where you'd entertain offers let me know. Thx, James
