That's a good one. When I was in the Navy, this is very similar to how they delt with bad behavior. Again, a very good deterrent. Also ending with the same "blanket party" on more than one occasion.

There’s two things here I noticed in the article:

1) why the segregation of and (seemingly) favoring of the cavalry troopers over the infantry?

2) no mention of the artillery. This made me smile. Once again Saint Barbara lovingly shielded her charges from the inter-arms shenanigans of the infantry and cavalry.
