A-square rifle question

I recently purchased an A-square rifle and was looking for scope bases for it. The front mount also has two little holes in front of it (circled in red in the pic below). Im not sure if these are tiny screw holes, or if it was designed to have a scope base with 2 extra protrusions for additional secure contact with the barrel? I have other A-square rifles, and none of them have these two little holes there.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
