For those that might have followed my misfortune re my two new double rifles, I now have both the o/u Beretta and the s/s Merkel. What I would like to know is what weight projectiles to use for plains game and Aussie Water Buffalo. Thanks

it depends on what bullet weight they were regulated with, most likely 285/286grn as these are the most common factory load in the heavier weight. woodleigh do their solids and softs in that weight. they do heavier 320grn but you would have to see how they shot in your doubles. i use 293grn rws in my double , but it also shoots the 286grn solids and softs fine as well. they are the only weights i use for all size of animals.

Thanks Spike

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
