Wow! Half price for a .505 Gibbs even if it has some issues that was a great price. Hopefully everything is “on the level”

I have purchased rifles from Jeff in the past and he is a great guy, purchase with confidence.
I have seen this .505 Gibbs rifle in person and it’s better than pictures depict.
I’m sure if you call or PM Jeff he would fill you in on the build.
Great Buy rhoward252!!

This same gun had been sold to Krish in June? Did he not end up taking it? @krish
When my FFL received it , the action had import marks, no serial number, some info on action looked like rubbed of with wheel buffer or grinder. So my FFL said it could be used in US. BUT can not purchase a serial number on it till he thoroughly resurch the gun. Which would have been expensive. So my ffl returned the gun at my cost to the seller given ffl.
Seller might have legalized it with serial number.

Look like a cheap entry into a sore shoulder!

Rifle looked fine as posted. Very likable. OP bought the rifled action from the mentioned dealer and custom stocked it. Very nice and cooperative to deal with. It is my quirk I had to send it back.

No I meant a cheap entry into the 500 club.

Some older actions were not serialized as they were not required to. But if a action is imported then it requires a serial number. That is what my issue was.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.
