Guys,

Just wondering...would it be possible to reload 3-1/4” cases with standard 3” die set?

I’m seeing a few 3-1/4” rifles for sale, but can’t find any dies without a year long wait.

Nope.

The 3.25 has a smaller diameter body at both the shoulder, and just above the rim. You will never get adequate resizing with the 450/400 Jeff dies (3").

Thanks tarbe for the confirmation...I was able to sit down at my computer tonight and compare the CIP drawings, and see what you are saying. Bummer...

There are some nice 450/400 3" doubles out there, and they are usually a pretty good value as most guys looking at the used market seem to want .470 or .450 3.25. Maybe you can score one?

Surely Huntingtons or CH4D will not take a year to have .450-.400 3&1/4” dies ready?

Unfortunately, I called Huntington’s yesterday and they are no longer taking special orders...apparently RCBS is no longer making them.

Even better is that I placed an order with CH4D for a set of 297/250 rook dies, and I should be receiving them this month. The order was placed in 2017!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
