Any of you fellas that actually have brass and are shooting a .416 Ruger, do you have a y trouble getting 2400 fps with a 400 grain?

Hornady factory ammo 400-gr DGS .416 Ruger, with G1 BC = 0.319

20"-barreled stainless Hawkeye Alaskan @ 77*F, fired in 2009:
2337 fps at 5 yards, corrected to MV:
2350 fps
Mean of 25 shots with standard deviation = 10 fps, ES = 39 fps.
Excellent factory ammo.

24"-barreled stainless Ruger No. 1 @ 69*F, same lot of ammo from 2009 was fired in 2018:
2388 fps at 5 yards, corrected to MV:
2401 fps
Mean of 10 shots with standard deviation = 11 fps, ES = 30 fps.
That factory ammo aged well for 9 years.

We have .458 WIN MAG loads for the CEB 400-gr Safari Solid at +2500 fps from a 24" barrel, 3.35" COL.
We have .458 WIN MAG loads for the Hammer 404-gr SH at +2600 fps from a 24" barrel, 3.38" COL.
Use Norma brass, F-215 primer, and the right amount of Hodgdon BENCHMARK EXTREME.

Thank you for the great data. Wish I had written down the temps and all when I did my .375 Ruger testing.
