375 Flanged Magnum for buffalo

I see quit a few articles comparing the 375FL to this or that, but not many actual hunting experiences, especially for buff. I really like this round and have just ordered a Heym double in it. So more to live the dream and wile away the months before the beauty arrives please can anyone who has hunted with it relate your experience?

Should be very close to 9.3x74R performance. But if you notice, alot of the current premium grade 375 H&H ammo is being loaded down to 2450 fps. In that case there will be no difference between the 375H&H and the 375 Flanged.

Correct Toby. And everything I read says that is about ideal - enough penetration, better set up, less pass through. I dont have dozens of buff to back it up though, just one, hence looking for other's experience on them with 375FL (or loaded down H&H as you say).

I used a 375 H&H loaded with 300 gr TSX at 2450 FPS on 3 big Water Buffalo bulls in Australia. I never felt undergunned at all. In fact it kind of made me ask myself why anyone would need more gun for Buffalo.
