300 RUM Suggestions

I bought a rifle from Bob Beck a couple years ago on whim, I am vulnerable to knee-jerk rifle purchases, its a weakness I am not working on. I have had it a few years now and have shot less than 20 rounds through it, just enough to dial the scope in and then fool around.

So I have decided to take it on my elk hunt this September in Wyoming. I have a bunch of Norma brass and I bought some 230 Berger OTM Bullets and I already had some 210 Accubond LR bullets.

Has anyone have any experience with 230 Bergers?

I have a MOA extreme long range hunter in 300 rum with a nightforce nsx on it. It might be your same rifle and setup. The rifle came with a load for the 230 Bergers that shoots great. I had some loaded as I am not a hand loader. I also ordered some loaded by MOA. I have dialed on my scope and shot out to 800 at steel farthest I have available and they are great.This is the first attempt I have at uploading a pic on this sight. If I screw it up I will try again

I have just the standard evolution rifle, but barrel and twist rate are going to be the same.

You wouldn't happen to know the powder and charge weight would you?

They gave that to me but I gave it to the person loading my ammo. Let me see if I can source it but may take a cpl days.

Bob use the .300 Rum himself. He likes the 230 gr Burger for his hunting needs. There are a couple of other forums that will likely give you more real world experience with that bullet. I'll PM you.
