300 PRC options

Now a .300PRC, If I needed a long range rifle I would consider it, I would consider it in a Chassis or Long Range style stock configuration I guess . It might make sense to get the best fit and a more vertical grip along with appropriate glass.it could still be used hunting but I do like the traditional looking rifles.
Savage has the 110 Elite Precision that would be the perfect budget range toy! 30" barrel even. At 15 pounds better renew that gym membership. https://www.savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=57555
Now with all this success can we get Savage to resurrect the M99? I bet if they made one without a lot of cost-cutting garbage it would sell!

I own a 300PRC albeit a custom.

For turn key, hard to fault a Christensen or Seekins PH2.

Christensen does have a faster twist (8) vs Seekins (10) so if you decide to reload the heavier pills "should" behave more consistently with the 8 twist.

I do like a BDL design more than DBM so Christensen gets my vote along with the faster twist.

Just finishing up a safari with a 300 PRC. It was my pick for plains game when I went about having a rifle for that purpose built. Absolutely love the caliber and the performance is absolutely devastating.

If you don't mind, what bullet type and weight did you use? Thanks!

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
