Hello all. I am big fan of the 450/400 3" cartridge and used to own and hunt with a Ruger No. 1. Easy to shoot and deadly on everything it is a great cartridge and I was determined to make my next double rifle investment a 450/400 3" whether it be a Krieghoff, Chapuis, Heym, or even a Sabatti...

Apparently it's made by a gunsmith named Peter Fortner. Supposedly he makes it for everything from double rifles, to drillings of any pattern, to slug guns. I tried looking him up, but I found nothing about this. Just a bunch of Bi-Athlon rifles.

I'm new to double rifles, so I'm a bit ignorant of all the little nuances that come with such a rifle. In my research I've seen people talking about how each gun is regulated for a certain grain bullet and load. So my question is, if you use a different type of ammo will it affect the accuracy...
