A STRANGE CUSTOM WINCHESTER MODEL 70 - 50 BME CAL ? Descriptio

Mighty cool cartridge.
It needs to be added at AmmoGuide.
It would look nice smack in the middle of this line-up:

I am mighty partial to .338 Lapua Magnum wildcatting. My collection:

Instead of 2.200" case length, my .500-caliber-cat has 2.670" case length,
blown-out /"improved."
Michael Uekotter in Germany collaborated on the .500.
We called it officially the 12.7x68mm Magnum.
I call it unofficially the 49-10, .49-bore of 2010, as with the .30-bore of 1906, .30-06.
Hornady made our dies too, and I shipped a set to him in Germany.

Here is the latest UPDATE range test of the 50 BME.

UPDATE .... This time I loaded Reloader 7 as I found in the published loads for 50 B&M Alaskan. Although Max load with this powder was listed as 65g, I stayed conservative with 60g. Fired cases showed rounded primers and next time I will load to 65g and expect to obtain 2300 fps to 2400 fps. The wind came up after the first 4 shots, which separated them from the other 6 - otherwise I think the group would have been around one inch.. This is quickly becoming a very fun cartridge.

You could look at .338 and .300 Norma Mag also , since it is a cutdown Lap case and less material to remove .

I already made 50 pcs from 338 Lapua so I'm good for now.
