I was a Federal Agent at the time working in the Washington DC field office. We were summoned to the Pentagon that evening to work search and recovery. Here is a pic that I took that evening (actually the wee hours of the morning on 9/12). In the pic you can see the pallets holding up the building. We were waiting for them to be put in place before we were allowed to crawl around inside.
