Friends. I'm a saw mill geek and I've shopped for them for years. I have to tell you that all of those junk, chicom saw mills you see online are inferior knock-offs of @Garciamarquez1918 made in the USA mills. They are the real deal. I grew up in Southern WI and Northern IL and all those really old woodworking machines were Belsaw, the gold standard for a century. These mills carry on that pedigree.

That ends my honest, no-charge infomercial on Woodmaster and TimberKing. I had no idea that their ownership were members/friends of the AH forum.

Making beautiful things from wood is amazing, case and point the original post's beautiful midcentury console. But when you can make beautiful things from YOUR OWN wood from your trees...now that's next league.

Amateur woodworker and welder and also festool junkie! In the process of building this dresser for my son. I welded up a frame that’s going to hold 12 drawers with figured maple fronts. It’ll also have a middle shelf of this same wood combo. Used 3/4 thick strips of maple, Purple Heart and walnut. Took forever to glue it all up but it’s coming along now!

I do some woodworking, but have to be in the mood. I built Our bedroom furniture from a cherry tree I cut on my wife’s farm in Ky. I had a local guy mill and dry it along with some walnut. I’m going to get started on bedroom furniture for my daughter soon from the walnut. I built dining room table for her also.

After I retired, I picked up woodworking as a hobby and to keep my coconut busy. I'm basically self-taught and watch a lot of videos and them put them to practice, and sometimes malpractice :ROFLMAO:. Here are some of my little basic wood projects.

Made these flags for friends who were retiring from the miliary.

Amateur wood worker. Tried my hands at making a few things here and there, like a coffee table for the Mrs with a nice burnt live edge wild fig. Its still in our lounge 8 years later.

And then I do a lot of wood work on the knife handles. Not sure that counts as wood working but it's one of my favorite parts of making a knife. A great peice of highly figured wood is just the best

The pallet would be near the peak of my wood working capabilities, why I went into welding, at least when I cut something to short I could always make it longer again! lol

Way back when I made it I wanted it to be an epoxy table, but couldn't afford the epoxy. So I cut a peice of glass for the top. 8 years later and it's still going strong
 
That table is sweet. I don’t do any epoxy river tables. Most people don’t want to pay for it
