I thought I would check here first. I am looking for reloading dies for 470 Capstick and 500 Weatherby.

I will have them made if needed, but thought maybe it may pay to check with you guys first.

For the "500 Weatherby", is that the .500 A2 or the Wells, or yet another variant of a .460 necked up to .512"?

Point we'll taken. Here is a copy of the reamer print, for the finishing reamer I ordered. I'll probably just have a set made at PTG since it is thier reamer I am buying. Unless someone by the the most remote possible chance has it on a shelf.

I have already bought the reamer , 200 pcs of 500 weatherby brass, prefit barrel, I already have 30 Enfield actions, and I can duplicate my own stocks. So it is going to happen one way or another. I guess I am a square peg in a round hole kind of guy.

I do appreciate the comment. It gets a bit confusing on variants. Some of my other projects are the same way. For example the 416 Strausse I am building. That is a fun one to track down.

Any way, thanks for the input, again I'll probably just order the 500 weatherby, but if a set of 470 capstick dies are laying dusty and unused on a shelf. I would be interested in re-homing them.

Yes, cardiologist misdiagnosed me with a aneurysm so I divested in most of my big bore projects (a bunch to you actually).

Since I was told it was a misdiagnosis, I have been reinvesting. I bought a stock duplicator and a new Grizzly gunsmith lathe. So I will spend all winter building most of these.

Here is a list of my current projects.
2ea, CZ 550 safari magnum, 550 magnum (mostly complete)
3ea, Enfield 1917s chambered in 550 magnum (50% complete)
1ea CZ 550 safari magnum, 505 Gibbs (completed last month, shoots awesome)
2ea Enfield 1917s chambered in 585 Nyati (one is 50% complete)
1ea Enfield 1917 chambered in 416 Heuer (25%)
1ea Enfield 1917 chambered in 470 capstick (50%)
1ea Enfield 1917 chambered in 500 Weatherby (Barrel, reamer, and brass ordered)
1ea Enfield 1917 chambered in 300 RUM (50%)
1ea Enfield 1917 chambered in 375 H&H (80%)
1 ea Springfield 1903 chambered in 308 Norma Magnum (All parts aquired)
1ea Mauser K98 308 winchester (All parts acquired)
1ea Enfield 1917 chambered in 416 Strausse (40%, 200 pcs of brass formed, and I used actual 303 british brass. Just like the article)

*note some 1917 projects may actually be built on a P14 reciever we'll see.

How have you been, I noticed you were purchasing a new rifle recently as well.

Would love to see pictures of the.505
 
Out of curiosity, was the .500 brass correctly head stamped? .460 brass can just be run through the sizing die with a little imperial sizing wax, and .416 brass is easily fire formed with the cornmeal method, but I’ve been hesitant to travel internationally without correctly head stamped brass.

FYI, when I inquired about the 500 WBY Bertram brass previously, I was told that it was the same dimensions as the 500 A-square. It's just that Bertram considered A-Square a proprietary name and didn't want to stamp it on their brass.

Well, there it is digger59011 helped me out with a set of 470 Capstick dies, and I ordered the custom dies from Pacific Tool and Gauge for the 500 Weatherby. Lol I'll be able to start building this one in 6 months to a year.

You will love the .500. It’s probably the easiest .500 to load and feed in existence. H335 is your friend and all you will need unless you want to get tricky and use .50 BMG bullets or go cast. The various 4895, 4064, Varget, Benchmark, RL15, all generally work well, and I’m sure there are half a dozen others just as good. 4350 will turn your rifle into a flamethrower, and I’ve seen 870/8700 recommended for surplus BMG bullet use, though I’ve never done it myself.
 
Nice, I am well stocked in H335. I may do some casting, and paper patching. Just because.

I'm just trying to build as many of the 50 cal hunting rifles as I can. In the 90's I bought 50 BMG AR upper and packed it 5 miles out of tge Dalton Highway Corridor for caribou. Shot one over 600 yards away.

The 500 WBY in that pic looks close to the 510 Wells. I think the only way to know for sure would be to measure the dimensions of the brass you bought. Does anyone have a spec for the 510 Wells? I was going to order some of that brass myself 1-2 years ago, but wasn't sure if it was the right dimensions, and I found it at a shop in Australia, so it would have been an expensive mistake if it didn't work out. Luckily I found some 500A2 brass and ammo in the meantime.
 
I combed through my books, I have data on:
510 GNR
510 WISPER
510 Allen Magnum
510 Nitro Epress

Sadly no 510 Wells, maybe Krish. He has a pretty extensive library.
