Ordered my LAST African Safari rifle at DSC this year...

Not yet. This all went down over the weekend when Jerome gets to the office he will put together a new order sheet for me to sign and then we'll discuss particulars.
Good luck sir, I can’t imagine the frustration.

However, it does give you the second chance to change any details of the rifle you like.

@Tanks I am just seeing this thread after being out of town for the weekend.

I jut spoke with Marc and he explained the conversation he had with you and the plan for getting you a new rifle to your specifications.

Again, we apologize for the mistake and appreciate your understanding.

I greatly appreciate seeing the "thumbs up," particularly from @Tanks but also others, to the comment above!

Rigby is comprised of humans, which strive to be perfect, but don't always get it right. However, when we don't, we hope to always step up and make it more than good.

We will be sure to expedite the production to get you the new rifle as soon as possible!

Mistakes will happen when humans are involved. What sets companies apart from others, is what it is done to fix the mistake. I believe Rigby has shown what it takes to be an amazing standup company, and what to do to fix the problem, and how to alleviate the pain of the customer.

My dealings with anyone that picks up the phone at Rigby has always been positive. From a belt that was too small. Shipping me two “Resurrection” books by mistake. I was told to keep the second. And got two books, both marked 41/1000 so 200 yrs from now those books may be an oddity and collectible

Recieved a my requested number 1 out of 50 piece art. Hopefully when I order my Rising Bite I get the same service I get when buying much less spendy items.

Every interaction has been exemplary.

I think that solution would only be fair as a part of a "mea cupa".

Glad to see the response by the Rigby team.

Oh well.
It's nice to have one rifle where Rigby got something a little wrong. That doesn't happen often, so that weapon will surely be a collector's item. Even when they make a mistake, it looks much better than when majority manufacturers really try to make something perfect :)

Greetings from Namibia.
Bloodied the .500 Shikari. 75yard one shot kill with a 1 MOA Trijicon. Accuracy and handling is not an issue.

Glad to see you making good use of what you have while waiting for the new one; may not be what you wanted but I imagine it’s satisfying nonetheless.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
