Flyer Beware! Gun Case Sabotage (?) on ATL to CPT flight

How do they have the time to do this kind of stuff and not get caught.

I'm going to look at my things; what kind of case is it?

So they took the hinge pins out stole the binos and then put the hinge pins back in?

Amazing amount of work.
 
I have seen some advocate cutting off holes/tabs for cases to limit the number of holes where a lock is required.
I generally go with aluminum cases where there is a “rod” where only one lock is required. I generally do not travel with the rod and use 4 locks instead. I will continue to do so.
 
It was an Rtic hard case. I duplicated taking the pins out and putting them back in , in just a few minutes they probably had practice and did it even quicker

I find it annoying because i check my items before leaving airport that way theres a record of any issues but its a oita to remove zip ties in tge baggage claim.

Large nail clippers have worked for me. TSA always allow those....
