Flyer Beware! Gun Case Sabotage (?) on ATL to CPT flight

They looked rather gigantic to me. Looking in Wikipedia several species of prickly pear were brought into RSA. Some as far back as 17th century.
It's really interesting how a thread about gun case damage in Atlanta can morph into assorted Prickly Pear Cactus in Africa.

Here they are: Kalispel gun cases mae by Native Americans in Washington state.

They formerly made them for Cabela's too.
Made in usa is a good thing. Not sure how made by indians is good marketing. Ubkess its a casino lol

Those Kalispell cases are great.

20 years ago I had a two gun case by a different maker. Flew back from Texas and when it came off the conveyer it was obvious someone had attacked the corner with a crowbar or similar. They had gotten under a seam and peeled a good bit of it back. I went straight into the customer service area and American Airlines reimbursed me for the price of the case with no questions asked.

I guess buying a gun case keeps some Native Americans off welfare? You know the stereotype. I don't blame them for being proud. These are superb gun cases and only require one padlock to secure. Expensive but made by skilled hands so worth it. I understand the company stands behind the product re support but rarely necessary. I've never heard a complaint.

Was cracking jokes lol. Dont take so serious

But serious bit. Making good life choices keeps you off welfare.

I wish we scrapped all of our social handout programs and redid social security to less if a ponzi scheme to something that works for the future

Emojis are your friend. :D

But can it be opened with a TSA key?

Don’t start this debate again.

Some people think TSA locks are ok and have never had a problem. Some people think they aren’t and have never had a problem.

Never the twain shall meet.

I was just thinking that they will not be cut which is great but it seems everyone in the airports have TSA keys. Not trying to start anything

I agree that more people at the airport have a TSA key than a set of bolt cutters.

I was being a little facetious, the subject of TSA locks has filled multiple pages on this site with no resolution.

no one will ever agree on TSA locks

Ya but the govt doc says no tsa locks on guns. Its not a debate

Only the passenger should retain the key or combination to the lock unless TSA personnel request the key to open the firearm container to ensure compliance with TSA regulations. You may use any brand or type of lock to secure your firearm case, including TSA-recognized locks.

So if only the passenger should have acess. To it. Kinda defeats tsa having the key or anyone in the airport or other coubtries airports for thst matter

So stick some epoxy putty in the TSA keyhole.

No problem with gun cases on return just Saturday. But I had one bag that was two days late following me to C10. It had my Courteneys and bullets. Bullets made it to camp, Courteneys not so lucky.

Delta? “We only cover up to $250 if you have a police report”

Delta's baggage liability covers up to $3,800 for lost or damaged luggage on domestic flights, and up to ~$8,200 for international flights under the Montreal Convention.

And take em to court youll find policy is overridden.

Theres a difference between force majure like stuff happens not our fault and willful wrongdoing by an agent of the company.

Problem is the lost bag left Atl 24 hrs after we did then had to make AirLink connection to Beira then Gorongosa Air bugblaster to C11 where guy on motorcycle picks it up but has to spend the night atta village on way to Rola. Didn’t tell Delta all that but still wudna happened had they got it on the plane to begin with!
