To the poors-I salute you!

I might disagree, only because everyone in all those Third World Countries have nothing to compare to. There’s no jealousy or envy from them because they know any better or how to comprehend what we in the west need to “live”. They’d love to have an extra chicken, goat, cow or Donkey.

Ask any of the guys on AH with a bunch of time in Third World Countries, especially ones that are/were war torn or experiencing some level of a humanitarian crisis. Guys like @mdwest @SFRanger7GP @roverandbrew the civilians are normally smiling, laughing and joking despite, the kids always are. Give a kid a small piece of candy, even a single M&M and you’ve made their week or month. It’s amazing the things they’ll do for $5 or $20 and what that will get them since it’s as much or more than they’d make in a day or week.
It used to be that way all over but now there is cell service in many remote areas and the people are seeing what they have been missing. Just another reason that open borders are not a good idea.

Sorry for the edit mate but makes for a bit of fun.

We all have different circumstances and goals. So long as we prioritise family and strive to achieve something it’s all that matters.

I’m 6 years from freeing up my super, more importantly it’s still 9 years till I can my my hands on my wife’s super.

The consequence of that is I will work till she is 60.

I might still bet retired by 65 so that’s a bonus on the extra 2 years that were added to pension age .

Our income is ours collectively and the only thing she doesn’t mind spending money on is travel so I plan trips and she plays passenger princess.
@CBH Australia
You said it was still 9 years before you can get your hands on your WIFES PENSION.
The only thing about doing that is when you try it you have already determined the date you will die. Trying to get money of the wife is a very very dangerous proposal.
I would have thought after all this time married you would know;
What's hers is hers And what's your is HERS.

As they should! They should return to their toiling and lamenting their miserable lot in life, allowing us to spend our unearned means frivolously and lavishly, until they can vote in enough Democrats to take our money and everyone’s guns. ;)

Funny stuff, regardless of what a man acquires monetarily, if he's honest with himself and others, we all remain poor in knowledge, life is a never ending learning curve, I have found the more I learn, the more I realize what I don't know.

And have no envy for those that pile up 100's of millions, if someone blew in here and bought that 1500 acres West of me and built a 30K square foot home with a 24 car garage filled sports cars I would welcome them to the area, also wouldn't care if his Wife wore a 10K dollar English bulldog on her head for a hat.

That first meeting might go like this:

Dear God Ma'am, how about an ice cold Samuel Smith Imperial stout? [with glass offered of course] that hat looks dreadfully hot ; ]

You are correct, however, the average US tourist lets them know just how little they have. It truly is a different attitude of being thankful for what you have.

@TheRookie, Do you see a theme here in the comments?

If you can spare a " family beach vacation" away from the family farm, you can spend that same amount of money to hunt Africa; solo or with the family. Check AH sponsored outfitters, ask the AH community which other non AH sponsored outfitters they have hunted with. 10K all in is a lot of money for some people that could be more practically spent for other more important life's experiences.

Do a web search:

Pick an outfitter, any outfitter, as baseline. Then start comparing what that outfitter offers against other outfitters.

Search airlines for costs of flights and compare rates with other airlines for the best price

Do you want to have all, some, or none of your animals mounted? Check taxidermist prices here in the US vs having your animals mounted in Africa. Check dip and ship vs completely mounted shipping costs. You can get some good guesstimates here on the forum

You can get a good idea what your total trip will costs.

FYI: figure in an additional 20%, TIA! Expect the unexpected. Better to over budget and return home with money not spent than worry about under budgeting. Should have, Would have, Could have, sort of think.
I want a family farm! Great advice though. I’m loving that this post is still alive somehow.

One thing sadly many esp in ameeica forget.

You can find money in the gutter.
Class is in the blood.

I wouldnt be so hasty to judge.
I was just trying to say hi to the people who are only rich enough to fly to a different continent on someone else’s plane to shoot things for fun. No judgement intended.

I could never understand the attraction of going to Cuba or Dominican and hanging out with a bunch of people on the beach. What's to see? Ocean and horizon. Yawn. Man, I'd be praying for a hurricane just for the change of scenery.
For some reason this post responded to the wrong post. Who knows?

So funny everything is about stage in life. I had two farms for 17 years making great memories. As I have aged I no longer have the time for them so sold them. My son, Hunter (of course that’s his name) now wants a large farm after he sells off his AI company. How life repeats itself

Here, here now rare breed. This is a thread about classism and unearned, ill-gotten gains through inheritance. There will be no talk of merit allowed!

Anime Slayer APK is honestly one of the best anime apps I’ve ever used. It’s packed with a massive collection of both popular and underrated titles, and everything streams smoothly without interruptions. I appreciate how well it runs even on mid-range Android devices.

Between Blak Rock and Pocahontas, I did not want to say that on the forum. That's a nice Cat!
