I ran into a couple of problems with zebra wood. The warping was one. The other was tear out whenever I cut or planed it. It has a hardness rating slightly greater than hickory, so it’s tough to mill. Lots of sanding to erase the tear out. But, the result made it worthwhile.NICELY DONE!!
I have done several projects with Zebra wood in solid and as veneer's. It is an interesting wood to work with. be careful if you start working with 1/2 or thinner pieces as they have a bad tendency to warp or twist on you.
