338WSM is a future project for me. I have the barrel, Siamese Mauser action, pantographed walnut stock and PTG reamer. Just hope the change to gun laws do not get in the way.I had a .338WSM made on a Ruger#1
I’d love to get some 325 WSM brass!
@steve whiteSounds like the WSM is a great case for wildcatting. Watching with interest!
My sons shooting buddy has a 6.5 270 WSM Allan Swan must have a chamber reamer as he did the rebarrel on a Browning A bolt it was a 325 WSM ORIGINALLY.@steve white
Our esteemed gun writer Nick Harvey necked the 270wsm down to 25 cal. Whilst it was a good cartridge it was just to temperamental pressure wise. Probably make for a nice 6.5 tho

@rdog how does it perform and what velocities is he getting. My sons shooting buddy has a 6.5 270 WSM Allan Swan must have a chamber reamer as he did the rebarrel on a Browning A bolt it was a 325 WSM ORIGINALLY.
Bob i do not know , he does not have a chronograph, he originally wanted 25 / WSM but Swans son talked him in to the 6.5.@rdog how does it perform and what velocities is he getting.
I would guess a bit better than a 264 win mag
