Many of you may know Craig Doria from his former work as a professional hunter in Tanzania or Zambia, or his current work as a photographic guide, and I wanted to let you know about a novel he has written, which will be launched on March 23.

It is a very unique story - along the lines of John le Carré - and I think anyone who likes suspense/thriller books with a twist of East Africa will really like it. It has garnered positive reviews from South African author David Lambkin as well as Seán Hemingway.

Does this Novel take place in the current day or is it set back in history? Is there an international component to it; i.e., does it leave the continent of Africa?

It takes place in the no-so-distant past, but it is not a historical novel, so to speak. As far as being international - the subject matter has had (and still does have) a wider reach, but the action takes place in East Africa - so Kenya and Tanzania primarily.

It's quite layered with intertwining plot lines, and I can't recall reading anything similar.
