Exhausting to read these things. Are we taking too many elephants is asked over and over and then there the chart. The population of Elephant in Botswana increases every year regardless of the quota or the off take. The chart does not show male versus female. I don't know how to break it down for these people but boys don't have babies!
Until whole herd culling is reintroduced there will be more elephants every year and more ecological devastation.

The interesting part to me was the publication. I hadn't heard of it before, but if you scroll down and see related articles, the tone is very much not pro hunting. Maybe this particular article being included is a notable thing.
